This is a dream yet to be realised by most Sub-Saharan countries including Kenya, wiith many people in urban areas still using shared pit latrines and even 'flying toilets” in the slums.In rural Kenya it gets even worse.
Using data from K.O.D.I, most Counties have shared Pit Latrines as their main source of sanitation with the exception of Marsabit, Narok,Tana River, Samburu,Turkana and Wajir who use Bush while only Nairobi has Main Sewer as the main type of sanitation
